Statement of Faith

We believe God exists in three co-equal persons (the Trinity):

God, the Father, maker of heaven and earth.

Jesus Christ, His only Son, born of the virgin Mary, dead and buried, the third day He rose from the dead and sits at the right hand of God, the Father. We have access to God the Father because of Jesus’ sacrifice.

The Holy Spirit, our comforter, sent to indwell believers as the Spirit of Truth (John 14:36)

We believe the Bible is God’s Word written down by men at His command. The Bible is 100% Truth and contains no errors or theories (as originally written*). The miracles, healings, creation and everything else set forth in the Word happened just as it is written.

We believe man is born into sin because of the fall of Adam and is in need of salvation. We believe salvation to be entirely the work of God and not man (Eph. 2:8-9) and that Christ’s death on the cross atoned for man’s sin (2 Cor. 5:21).

We believe a person becomes a Christian by accepting the fact that they are a sinful creature and confessing that fact to the Lord Jesus Christ, fully believing that He is the only way to forgiveness and reconciliation with God the Father (John 14:6).

We believe the local church to be a body of believers in Jesus Christ coming together for the purpose of worshipping God, growing believers in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word, leading these believers to be witnesses of the Truth, spreading the Good News of salvation to the lost, ministering to those in need and providing a place of fellowship for believers.

We believe each member of the church is given spiritual gifts to be used for the common good and edification of the body of Christ. (1 Cor. 12:4-31)
