We
took 30 kids to Dare2Share in Phoenix March 5 & 6. Thank
you for your prayers. Six kids prayed to receive Jesus as
their Savior...
The
challenge is that they take "THE Cause" to their
friends in the city of Willcox, AZ and others. What is "THE
Cause"? Spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to
everyone the Lord brings into our paths.

"The
SPRING Student Center"
The
students that come into the SPRING are in need of your prayer.
Whether it is trouble in the home, in school or hanging
out with the "wrong crowd", there are many kids
definitely worth saving. Drugs are rampant in this day and
age, and we want to provide a "safe" place for
them to hang out and loving, caring staff to talk with them
about things that are going on in their lives.
Last
summer we opened up OUT-BACK @ The SPRING. We fenced in
a 50' by 50' area behind the SPRING and put in a basketball
hoop, some benches and picnic tables. The rest of the area
is being used for playing soccer and throwing a football
around! This is the place to be after the sun goes down.
We
also opened up our a new PC LAN Gaming Center. We have set
up four new gaming computers that can also be used for internet
access when the other five computers are full.
We
had several concerts this past year including several Christian
bands of which "Loaner" from Yuma is the most
well known. Local band, "When Death Becomes You"
appeared several times with Christian bands from the Sierra
Vista, AZ area. There are more concerts planned for the
coming year.
We
also began a monthly "Shine Your Light" night
where Christian teens from the community come together for
a time of games, special music, worship, prayer and a special
word from guest speakers, usually an area youth minister.
The rest of the student center is shut down for this 30
minute period and we invite parents and people of all ages
for this non-demonational event. We are developing a "house
band" made up of kids from the SPRING to lead at these
events.
This
fall, one of our staffers, Dustin Todd, began a horse training
program with the teens. He works with several of the kids,
teaching them how to train horses and teaching lessons of
respect and honor while doing so. Dustin also began a weekly
series of showing the "Truth Project" (from Focus
on the Family) for the teens. This program will expand this
year to include a curriculum (used in Oklahoma) that will
gives kids credit (high school/college) for their participation.
We are excited to see what God is doing in our lives and
the lives of these teens that we are interacting with every
week. Teens are coming to us for advice, help with classes
and questions about God. Please continue to keep the teens
and the volunteer staff in prayer.
The
SPRING is a faith based recreation and social center for
youth located in Willcox, Arizona and the surrounding communities
in the Sulphur Springs Valley.
The
Vision
Is
to provide a safe place for the middle and high school students
of Willcox and the surrounding areas to “hang out.”
A place where they can play, congregate, eat, drink some
coffee or soda, listen to some music, show off their talents,
and worship together, regardless of their socio-economic
status, religious background, or ethnicity. A place free
from the pressures of everyday life. A place where they
can go for help: school work, relationship issues, crisis
issues, and just every day needs. A place staffed by people
who care about students and desire to help them make it
through this difficult time of their life in one piece.

have received a little over $30,000 toward the purchase
of the facility that houses the SPRING and are in the process
of finalizing the agreement. We are committed to seeing
that the SPRING is a part of the local "landscape"
in Willcox for years to come. Please
